Immersive explorations using CAVE
Future fuel stations must consider both the physical architecture of the station and the digital services that support the experience. Stations must balance needed function and ease with potential for use case expansion. Information and communication technologies can catalyze innovation and new services, and different technologies and design choices can improve services and support different user behaviors; these behaviors can be both existing forms of conduct that the user has adopted, as well as new actions that could revamp the experience.
Part of designing the fuel station of tomorrow needs to include research on the taxonomy of the fuel stations of today. What are the types of features and elements found in standard fuel stations? What role do they play in the larger ecosystem of the fuel station?
